Terms of Service

What you agree to when you use BookMe. Plain language; if anything is unclear, email and we'll clarify.

Last updated: 8 May 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are a binding agreement between you and Shaun Godinho (Pune, India), the operator of BookMe. By signing in, claiming a booking page, or using any BookMe feature, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use BookMe.

2. What BookMe is

BookMe is a scheduling product. Hosts publish a public booking page at shaungodinho.com/book/<handle>; bookers see real-time availability and confirm a meeting in seconds. BookMe reads the host's Google Calendar to prevent double-bookings and creates calendar events on confirmation. Email confirmations are sent to both parties.

3. Accounts

4. Acceptable use

Don't:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. We'll usually email you first.

5. Pricing

BookMe is currently free during beta. We may introduce paid features in the future, in which case:

6. Service availability

We work hard to keep BookMe running but make no uptime guarantee. The service depends on third parties (Supabase, Google, Resend, Cloudflare) that occasionally have outages. When those happen, BookMe degrades:

You can subscribe to status updates by following the BookMe waitlist email list.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you put into BookMe — your handle, display name, meeting title, booking history, and the calendar data we read on your behalf. You grant BookMe a non-exclusive licence to display, store, and process that data only as needed to operate the service.

Bookers (anonymous visitors confirming a slot) similarly retain ownership of the name and email they submit. We process it only to send their confirmation, add them to your calendar event, and let you (the host) see who booked.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

BookMe is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of BookMe is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees) or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities — even if we've been advised of the possibility.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shaun Godinho and BookMe from any claim, loss, or damages arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party right via BookMe.

11. Termination

You can stop using BookMe any time and delete your account by emailing ent.shaun@gmail.com. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms; we'll usually notify you first.

On termination, your booking page goes offline immediately. Bookings already on your Google Calendar remain on your calendar (we don't reach in and delete them). Email records (both ours and yours) retain per their respective providers' policies.

12. Changes to these terms

When we update these terms materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and email signed-in hosts. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept a change, your remedy is to stop using the service.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.

14. Contact
